Telangana: Wife hammers man to death during quarrel, flees
A man, addicted to liquor, was allegedly hammered to death by his wife during a quarrel between them in Telangana's Peddapalli district today, police said. Nayeema Begum (35), married to Mohammed Pasha (40) for 14 years, had filed a case some time ago against him for demanding additional dowry, said ACP Habeeb Khan. Following mediation, they reunited and began life anew, he added.
Pasha was a habitual drinker, suspected wife's fidelity: Police
Pasha was a habitual drinker and suspected Begum's fidelity, the ACP said. On that fateful day, the couple got into a quarrel, like every day, at 2:30 am. The woman, frustrated by now, fatally attacked him with a hammer in their house before escaping. Based on a complaint filed by Pasha's sister, police registered a case against Begum. A search is on for her.
