Sridevi died in her hotel room bathtub in Dubai
Sridevi's body was brought to India yesterday, three days after she died at a Dubai hotel on the night of February 24. The family was in Dubai to attend nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding. On Saturday, her husband Boney Kapoor, who had reportedly flown in from India to surprise her, found her lying motionless in her hotel room bathtub.
Dubai investigators attributed the death to 'accidental drowning'
Initial reports attributed the death to a cardiac arrest, but forensics revealed that it had happened due to 'accidental drowning.' In Dubai, any death outside a hospital has to be thoroughly probed by law. Investigators questioned hotel staff and some others. Boney Kapoor and Mohit Marwah also spoke to police. Dubai police released her body yesterday, a day later than initially planned.
