While cracking CAT and getting into IIMs, the most sought-after management institutes, itself isn't easy, topping CAT is no small feat. Take a look at some CAT (IIM) toppers of the last five years.
Meet one of CAT 2018 toppers, Rounak Majumdar
Rounak Majumdar emerged as one of the 11 toppers of CAT 2018 who secured an overall 100 percentile that year. He secured 99.95 percentile in Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, 99.98 percentile in Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and 100 percentile in Quantitative Ability. Majumdar, who is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from IIT Kanpur, is currently pursuing an MBA at IIM Ahmedabad (2019-21).
Chhavi Gupta, one of 100 percentile scorers in CAT 2017
Chhavi Gupta of Delhi was one of the 20 candidates who scored perfect 100 percentile in the CAT 2017 examination. She secured 99.94 percentile in Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, 100 percentile in Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and 99.98 percentile in Quantitative Ability. Chhavi also pursued the integrated BTech+MTech course in Biotechnology at IIT Delhi. She's currently pursuing MBA at IIM Ahmedabad (2018-20).
CAT-2016 topper Akshay Mehndiratta secured 100 percentile in second attempt
In the CAT 2016 exam too, 20 candidates emerged as toppers who secured 100 percentile. Akshay Mehndiratta was one one of the toppers that year who scored 100 percentile in his second attempt. He had pursued BTech Chemical Engineering at IIT Delhi; he later joined MBA at IIM Ahmedabad. He is currently working with Boston Consulting Group in Mumbai.
Prateek Bajpai was among 17 candidates who scored 100 percentile
Prateek Bajpai emerged as one of the 17 toppers who scored 100 percentile in the 2015 CAT in his first attempt. He did his BTech in Civil Engineering from NIT, Trichy and was working for Shapoorji Pallonji Group in Algeria while preparing for CAT simultaneously. He did his MBA (2016-18) from IIM Ahmedabad and is now a Marketing Management Trainee at Wipro in Bengaluru.
Neha Manglik was one of the toppers of CAT 2014
Neha Manglik was one of the 16 toppers of CAT 2014 with a 100 percentile. Notably, she was the only girl to top the exam that year. She did her BE in Chemical Engineering (2011-15) from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. She went on to pursue her MBA from IIM Ahmedabad (2015-17) and is currently working with Cello Writing in Mumbai.
