Police looked after all the wedding arrangements
According to Hindustan Times, 23-year-old Reena Prajapati and 25-year-old Yugal Bihari Prajapati, who works with a private company in Mumbai, had been together for two years and planned to tie the knot in March. They, however, didn't foresee such a sudden turn of events, thanks to the Uttar Pradesh police, who made all the arrangements and convinced their parents for an impromptu wedding.
A forced wedding that was dowry free
The police of Varanasi's Badaura village, where the incident took place, claim that the wedding was dowry free and that they played catalysts in bringing happiness to the couple's lives earlier than they had planned. The wedding was officiated in the presence of the villagers, and bride and groom's families. The couple, meanwhile, is yet to fully grapple with all that's happened with them.
