Jodhpur: US Air Force general flies fighter jet Tejas
What's the story
American Air Force General David L Goldfein on Saturday became the first foreign military chief to fly India's light combat aircraft Tejas.
Goldfein's sortie at the Air Force Station in Jodhpur was part of his official visit to India, aimed at strengthening the ties between the two nations.
Goldfein is accompanied by US Pacific Air Forces Commander General Terrence O'Shaughnessy.

Building trust
The US officials arrived in India on February 1
The American officials landed in India on Thursday to a warm welcome at the New Delhi Air Force Headquarters.
They discussed with IAF chief BS Dhanoa and other airmen/pilots ways to boost cooperation between the two forces.
An overwhelmed Goldfein, in a series of tweets on Friday, thanked the IAF, acknowledged its importance and expressed hope for the newly forged relationships.
