    What's the story

The Mumbai police, investigating a WhatsApp group 'BB Bad Boys' that circulated child porn videos, have learned that few of its members were IT professionals, and engineering students, Mumbai Mirror reports.

The police were informed about this group by a former member, who had earlier asked people not to post obscene videos.

When they didn't listen, he approached cybercrime investigator Ritesh Bhatia on June 2.

When former member asked others to mend ways, they refused

Notably, others opposed the suggestion of this member to not send porn videos. He left the group but not before telling Bhatia.

He also helped in the investigation.

The group has been active since January 2018, and has 217 members across different states, and few of them live abroad.

Over 20 child porn videos and 140 adult porn videos were shared in the group.

Two men in the group asked for videos often

The police said an invitation link was sent to different groups to get the maximum number of members.

One person from Nashik and another from Nagpur regularly demanded more videos, while another person warned that it was illegal to share such content.

Till now police have arrested six people from different areas. The admin is likely to be arrested in a few days.
