'Hanuman temple...135 parking spaces': Inside ₹150 crore revamped RSS office
What's the story
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has unveiled its newly renovated headquarters, Keshav Kunj, in Jhandewalan, Delhi.
The 3.75-acre complex boasts three 12-story towers named Sadhna, Prerna, and Archana.
Financed by donations from 75,000 contributors, this ₹150 crore project began construction in 2018 but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The revamped office has 300 rooms for residential and office use.
It has state-of-the-art amenities including auditoriums, a library with over 8,500 books, a five-bed hospital, and a Hanuman temple.
Infrastructure
Modern amenities and sustainable features at Keshav Kunj
According to News18, the two auditoriums can hold 473 and 123 people.
There are multiple halls, one of which can seat at least 600 people, to ensure adequate space for significant discussions.
PTI reported that one of the halls is named after Ashok Singhal, former Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) President and who was in charge of the Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi movement.
The facility also has a solar power plant and a waste recycling sewage treatment system.

Design
Traditional design meets modern technology at RSS headquarters
The building's architecture combines modern technology with traditional Gujarati and Rajasthani designs.
Gujarat-based architect Anup Dave designed the complex to be airy and sunlit.
The headquarters also features large lawns for relaxation and daily shakhas.
The windows are decorated with facades inspired by traditional architecture, and 1,000 granite frameworks were used.
The building's dispensary facilities are available to locals, particularly those who live in slum neighborhoods.
There are currently 135 parking places available, which will increase to 200.
