WB Board Class-12 Bengali paper 'circulated' on WhatsApp; probe ordered
After the Bengali question paper of Class 12 board exam was allegedly circulated on WhatsApp at an examination center at West Bengal's Kaliachak in Malda district, the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) said that it will inquire if there was any racket involved in the paper leak to create confusion among the public. Here are more details.
The WB Board has taken measures to prevent paper leak
Asserting that there was little possibility of getting a paper leak, Council's President Mahua Das said they took several measures to prevent it. "For the first time, we have introduced the post of a special invigilator. The Council also did not allow candidates to go to the washroom within one hour of the examination. Also, three invigilators were deployed in every classroom," he added.
Earlier, there were also rumors of class 10 paper leak
Das also said, each packet of question had a computer generated bar code. "During class 10th Board exam earlier this month, there were allegations of the circulation of physical science question paper on WhatsApp during examination time in the same district," Das said. But the West Bengal Board had confirmed that the images were last year's physical science paper, Das added.
