Gurugram waterlogged after heavy rains; traffic snarls across city
Gurugram witnessed severe waterlogging and traffic congestion following heavy rainfall on Thursday morning. The downpour, which lasted for about three hours, particularly affected areas such as the Narsinghpur stretch of the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway, Basai, and Golf Course Extension Road. Residents express frustration over recurring waterlogging issue
Residents reported that children in colonies near NH-48 at Narsinghpur were unable to attend school due to the waterlogged roads. Traffic congestion leaves commuters stranded
Traffic between Kherki Daula and Rajeev Chowk on NH-48 was severely affected as knee-deep water accumulated in the area. Commuters experienced delays as vehicles struggled to navigate through the flooded service lane. Three vehicles broke down in the service lane, further exacerbating the congestion. Priya Malhotra, a daily commuter, described her ordeal: "I have been stuck here for over 45 minutes. It is impossible to get through this water."

Pumps have been deployed at hot spots such as Narsinghpur, Khandsa Chowk, Rajiv Chowk, and Sector 67 to pump out accumulated stormwater," an official stated.
