Another-gem-of-a-comment: Vijay Rupani says Narad knew everything like Google
Just when we were reeling from Tripura CM's 'Internet existed during Mahabharata time' remark, his Gujarat counterpart Vijay Rupani said Narad knew everything about the world just like Google. Rupani was speaking at 'Devrshi Narad Jayanti' event organized by Vishwa Samvad Kendra, the media wing of RSS, in Ahmedabad on Sunday. He further said media needs to be neutral and authentic.
Narada was a true journalist, says Vijay Rupani
The event was meant to felicitate journalists and Vijay Rupani claimed only Narada, a mythological figure in Hinduism, was a true journalist. "Narada had information of the whole world and can be compared with Google in today's time. However, he only shared the information which was beneficial, and not harmful, to mankind," he added.
Vijay Rupani explains why Narad was a reverend figure
"That is why he is accepted as Rushi - a person who works for benefit of people. He is often portrayed as snitching on people, but in reality, he only shared information for the welfare of people," said Rupani.
BJP leader and their comments: What's happening, really?
A slew of BJP leaders have fallen to the other side of sanity, lately, it seems. In the eastern part of the country, Tripura CM Biplab Deb has taken the responsibility of passing mindless comments. From advising who should opt for civil services to asking why Diana Hayden was crowned Miss India, and telling youth to open paan shops; Deb has done it all.
