A massive fire broke out in a flat at the Lotus Boulevard society, located in Noida's Sector 100, due to an explosion in an air conditioner.
The blaze quickly engulfed the entire flat and spread to neighboring flats within the high-rise residential complex.
Amidst a severe heatwave in the national capital region, this incident triggered widespread panic among residents.
Swift action
Quick evacuation and response prevents casualties
Occupants of nearby flats were swiftly evacuated to the ground after heavy smoke billowed from the affected flat.
According to Noida's Chief Fire Officer (CFO), Pradeep Kumar, "Five fire tenders were rushed to the spot."
He confirmed that "the fire fighting systems in the society were working, and the fire was doused before we reached."
Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or casualties resulting from this incident.

Recent fire incidents highlight safety concerns
Earlier this month, another fire incident occurred in Noida when an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) battery exploded in the basement of a government hospital in Sector 39.
This year alone, the Delhi Fire Services (DFS) has received over 200 calls, including 183 fire-related incidents, marking its highest number so far this year.
According to records, 55 people have died and over 300 have been injured in the national capital this year due to fires.
