UP: Frustrated with husband, woman beats 6-month-old daughter to death
In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old woman allegedly thrashed her six-month-old daughter to death in the Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, the woman, Pinky Sharma, was angry at her husband after he refused to take her shopping for the upcoming festival of Holi. Pinky has now been booked for her infant daughter's murder. Here are more details.
Pinky's husband couldn't take her shopping; he was unwell
According to The Times of India, the incident took place in Aligarh district's Rampur village on Saturday evening. Pinky had had an argument with her husband, Rahul, after he refused to take her shopping for clothes as he was unwell. Frustrated, Pinky thrashed her six-month-old daughter, Soni. Unfortunately, Soni was beaten so brutally that she died.
Pinky arrested; booked for murder
Reportedly, Rahul has filed a complaint against his wife at the Jawan Police Station. Based on his complaint, the police has registered a case against Pinky under Section 302 (Murder) of the Indian Penal Code. Pinky has also been arrested. According to IANS, the incident was also filmed by someone, however, it remains unclear why the person did not intervene.
Pinky was frustrated after constant arguments with husband, says police
Jawan station in-charge Naresh Kumar Singh said that Pinky did not kill her daughter intentionally. Singh said that Pinky was frustrated with domestic issues and constant arguments with her husband. She vented her frustration at her six-month-old, unbeknownst that the infant could die. Rahul, a lock factory laborer, and Pinky had been married for four years. They also have a three-year-old son.
