UP: Man kills wife, two daughters over suspected illicit relations
A 60-year-old man allegedly bludgeoned his wife and two daughters to death with a hammer at their house in Bulandshahr over suspicion that they had illicit relationships with outsiders, police said on Wednesday. While the wife and two daughters died, his third daughter, who was also attacked, survived and has been referred to nearby Meerut district for treatment. The accused is on the run.
Accused person's 22-year-old son lodged the complaint
"The incident happened in the Ambedkarnagar colony, Shikarpur Police station area. The wife was aged 50, while the two dead daughters were 20 and 15. The injured daughter is 18 years old," Bulandshahr Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh said. An FIR has been lodged based on a complaint filed by the man's 22-year-old son, who lives separately with his wife.
Four police teams have been formed to track him
"The man suspected his wife and daughters of having illicit relationships with outsiders. Last night they got into a fight. After his wife and daughters fell asleep, the man hit them with a hammer on their heads," SSP Singh said. The accused is absconding and four police teams have been formed to track him. Efforts are being made to ensure his early arrest.
