Golfer Jyoti Randhawa, Chitrangada's ex-husband, arrested for poaching in UP
International golfer Jyoti Singh Randhawa and national-level shooter Mahesh Virajdar were arrested in Bahraich on poaching charges, Uttar Pradesh police said on Wednesday. The police seized a vehicle (registration-number HR26 DN 4299), weapons and other equipment from Randhawa. They also found a wild boar's skin, binoculars, and Range Finders in the vehicle. Reportedly, Randhawa killed a jungle fowl on Tuesday. Further investigation is underway.
Who is Jyoti Randhawa?
46-year-old Randhawa started his professional career in 1994 and took the top spot in the Asian Tour money list. Between 2004 and 2009, he was ranked in top 100 of Official World Golf Ranking numerous times. He married actress Chitrangada Singh in 2001 and they had a child named Zorawar. After their divorce in 2014, Chitrangada got Zorawar's custody.

Randhawa's actions drew attention of forest officials, he was intercepted
Field Director of Dudhwa, Ramesh Pandey, said Randhawa owns a farm in Motipur in Katarniaghat. For the last three days, the golfer was seen roaming in the forest in his vehicle. The forest officials got suspicious and on Tuesday morning he was intercepted. Randhawa, who recently started participating in international shooting tournaments, had an A-22 rifle, which was also seized by the police.
