UPSC Prelims 2017: Results declared
What's the story
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the result of the civil services preliminary examination on Thursday.
The website indicated that all the qualified candidates must fill up the Detailed Application Form (DAF) for civil services (main) examination (2017), online.
The form would be available from August 17 to August 31, 2017 till 6.00 pm on the UPSC website.

Successful candidates have to register themselves on UPSC website
As per the release, the successful candidates have to first get themselves registered on the (UPSC) website before filling up the DAF online.
It also stated that the e-admit cards of the qualified candidates would be uploaded on the official website along with the time table of the main examination.

Know the date for UPSC Mains
UPSC will conduct its (Main) civil services examination from October 28, 2017 which is a Saturday. Main exam for IFS will be held from 3 December 2017. Approximately 980 vacancies would be filled through the examination.

Although the results for preliminary examination would be put up on website, candidates may turn to UPSC's facilitation counter near the examination hall building in its campus at Dholpur House for further inquiries.
