UPSC 2017 final results declared; Hyderabad's Anudeep Durishetty tops list
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the much-awaited final results of the Civil Services Examination 2017 and Hyderabad candidate Anudeep Durishetty has topped the list. Those who have appeared for the exam can check their respective results by simply logging on to the UPSC's official website upsc.gov.in. The UPSC Mains examination was conducted on 28 Oct'17. About the UPSC topper Anudeep Durishetty
Hyderabad candidate Anudeep Durishetty with Roll No. 156266 has topped the UPSC Civil Services 2017 examination. He graduated from BITS, Pilani with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics & Instrumentation. He is currently working in the Indian Revenue Service. "It is like a dream come true. I always wanted to be an IAS officer," Anudeep said.
750 men, 240 women recommended for appointment to various services
Based on the written exam held in Oct-Nov'17 and interviews for the Personality Test conducted in Feb-Apr'18, a total of 990 names were recommended for appointment to various services. The services include Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services, Group A, and Group B. The exam was conducted to fill 980 posts, of which 54 were for reserved categories.
How can you check UPSC Civil Services 2017 result?
Candidates who have appeared for the UPSC examination can check their results by logging on to official website upsc.gov.in and clicking on the "Final Results" tab on the homepage. The candidates would then see a PDF that displays all the roll numbers of those who have been selected. They can search for their roll number and download the PDF, too.
