Man kills girlfriend after she decides to marry someone else
A 19-year-old woman was allegedly killed by a man after she decided to marry someone else at a village in Uttar Pradesh's Ballia, police said on Tuesday. "Annu Rajbhar, the accused, met the woman on Monday morning and killed her by slitting her throat," Additional Superintendent of Police Sanjay Yadav said.
Victim's brother filed a complaint; accused arrested
"Sindhu Rajbhar's body was found in an agricultural field in the village later in the day," Yadav said. Based on a complaint lodged at Bansdeeh Road Police Station by the brother of the deceased, a case was registered against Annu Rajbhar and he was arrested.
Sindhu's family didn't agree to the match
Yadav said, "Annu was having an affair with Sindhu for the last few years. He wanted to marry her but Sindhu's family didn't agree and had fixed her marriage elsewhere." "The body has been sent for postmortem," the official added. A similar incident was reported from Agra earlier this month where a youth allegedly stabbed his girlfriend and her mother to death.
Similar incident was reported in Agra
According to a Times Now report, the incident was reported in Agra's Jarar Block area. The youth felt rejected when he got to hear that the 18-year-old girl's marriage was fixed with another person. The youth attacked the teenager, her mother, and the girl's sister-in-law when she tried to come to their rescue. He later fled the spot.

The girl and her mother Sharda Devi were attacked with a sharp-edged weapon multiple times while they were asleep at their residence. The man entered their home through the terrace. When the girl's sister-in-law reached there to rescue them, the accused attacked her as well.
