Hathras school, where class 2-boy was 'sacrificed,' to be shut
The DL Public School in Uttar Pradesh, where an 11-year-old boy was allegedly murdered as part of a "black magic ritual," has been ordered to shut down by the Hathras Basic Siksha Adhikari (BSA), Swati Bharti. The school was reportedly running illegally up to class 8, even though it only had recognition until class 5. Five people, including the director of the school, Dinesh Baghel, his father and three teachers, have been arrested in connection with the crime.
Five arrested in connection with alleged ritual murder
The police believe that the crime was motivated by superstition, with the accused hoping that a human sacrifice would lead to their school's success. According to reports, the school had been experiencing financial difficulties, and this misguided belief was seen as a solution to ensure its prosperity. The accused had initially attempted to perform the ritual on September 6 with a different boy. However, this plan was thwarted when the intended victim raised an alarm and fled.
Victim's parents demand justice for their son
The parents of the boy have now demanded an SIT investigation into the case and death penalty for the accused. The father, Shrikishan Kushwaha, shared the horrifying details: "My son was strangled; he was brutally murdered; his neck's bone was broken, his lips turned blue." His mother, Kamlesh, echoed these sentiments and has called for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the case. "The culprits should be hanged," she said.
