UP: Woman poisoned to death over dowry in Muzzafarnagar
In a horrific incident, a 28-year-old woman was allegedly poisoned to death by her in-laws over dowry demand at Nawla village in Muzzafarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, police said today. Circle Officer Rajive Kumar Singh said a case has been registered against the woman's husband Nitin Kumar, father-in-law Rakesh, mother-in-law Dulari, and brother-in-law Sachin. Singh said the accused members are absconding.
Victim's father says she was harassed for motorbike and cash
Minu, the deceased, married Nitin four years ago. Minu's father, Baburam, lodged a complaint with the police. In his complaint, Baburam has said his daughter was being harassed for a motorbike and cash as dowry. Police said Minu was rushed to a hospital yesterday but unfortunately it was too late and she was declared dead by the doctors.
