Man opposes molestation bid on sister in UP, attacked
A man was injured when five people allegedly attacked him after he opposed their molestation attempt on his sister at Ghari Abdulla village in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district, police said today. The victim complained that the five persons, Inam, Mudasir, Asad, Danish, and one unidentified person, entered her house yesterday evening and started molesting her, SHO of Ghari Pukhta police station Kapil Gautam said.
Hunt has been launched to nab all accused
When the victim's brother protested, the accused, who are residents of the same village, attacked him with sharp-edged weapons and ran away severely injuring him, the SHO said. The man was referred to a Delhi hospital, Gautam said. A case has been registered against the five accused, who are absconding, the police officer said, adding a manhunt has been launched to nab them.
