    Drunk man shoots dead kids for not giving him water

    What's the story

    In a shocking incident, a drunk security guard in Etah (UP) shot dead two children and injured another after they didn't listen to his requests for water.

    The incident happened in Devtariya yesterday evening.

    The accused works in Delhi. He was in Etah on leave. He has been arrested and his weapon seized.

    After the incident triggered tension, security was deployed in the village.

    What happened?

    Six-year-old Gulshafa, four-year-old Soni and three-year-old Shaan were playing outside their home when an inebriated Chhote Singh Yadav, on way to his house, stopped there.

    He sat and asked the kids for water. But the children, knowing he was heavily drunk, just smiled and continued playing.

    Yadav then shot many rounds at them. Shaan and Gulshafa died. Soni was rushed to hospital with injuries.
