Kamlesh Tiwari's killers will not be spared, says Yogi Adityanath
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday condemned the killing of Hindu Samaj Party founder Kamlesh Tiwari in Lucknow. Earlier in the day, Tiwari's wife and mother had blamed the Adityanath government for failing to protect the Hindu leader. Tiwari was shot and had his throat slit by two unidentified assailants at his home on Friday. Here are more details.
Fear, panic-inducing elements will be quashed: Adityanath
Adityanath described Tiwari's killing as "unacceptable" adding, "Not a single person involved in the murder will be spared," ANI reported. Any fear and panic-inducing elements will have their plans firmly quashed, he said. When asked if he would meet the family of the deceased, the CM said he had no issues meeting the family and would certainly meet them if they came to him.

Lucknow Divisional Commissioner assures support, security to Tiwari's family
Earlier, Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Mukesh Meshram met Tiwari's family and assured that their demands have been taken into consideration. Meshram said they will be provided with security and a licensed weapon will be provided to the family's eldest son, who will also be recommended for a job. He promised financial support to the family and said a meeting with Adityanath is being fixed.
Want National Investigation Agency to investigate case: Tiwari's son
Speaking to ANI in Sitapur, Tiwari's son, Satyam Tiwari, said, "We want the National Investigation Agency to investigate the case, we do not trust anyone. My father was killed although he had security guards, how can we possibly trust the administration then?"
2 unidentified assailants shot Tiwari, slit his throat
For the uninitiated, on Friday, two unidentified assailants in saffron disguise bypassed Tiwari's security and entered his Khursheed Bagh residence. The assailants then sat down with him for a chat over tea. After sending Hindu Samaj Party in-charge Swarashtra Deep Singh, who was present at the house, out to buy cigarettes, the assailants shot at Tiwari. He died on his way to a hospital.
Police arrested 3 people in connection with Tiwari's murder
Earlier on Saturday, three people, namely Maulana Mohsin Shiekh (24) Khursheed Ahmad Pathan (23) and Faizan (21), were arrested for Tiwari's murder in a joint operation between UP and Gujarat police. The two unidentified assailants who executed the crime, however, remain at large.
Tiwari's wife, mother demand justice from Adityanath
Tiwari's wife, Kiran, had filed an FIR on Friday, naming two Muslim clerics, Mohammed Mufti Naeem Kazmi and Imam Maulana Anwarul Haq. Kiran alleged that they conspired to kill Tiwari as they had placed a bounty on him over his controversial remarks against Prophet Muhammad. Kiran and Tiwari's mother demanded justice from Adityanath. Kiran even threatened to self-immolate if the CM didn't meet her.
