Brothers rape teen-sister for four-years, she films incident for proof
In a ghastly incident, two brothers were arrested for allegedly raping their sister for four years in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut. The horrendous crime came to light when the 16-year-old victim recorded the incident and showed it to police. Acting on her complaint, the police arrested the brothers, aged 23 and 21, and sent them to jail on rape charges. Here's more.
Brothers threatened to kill mother if victim spoke up
The victim's father died a few years ago and her brothers threatened to kill their mother if she spoke about the crime. It was her mother who suggested the Class 12th student to film the crime, saying no one would believe her otherwise. The victim contacted a social activist who took her to the police. She, subsequently, filed a complaint.
Victim shows clip to senior police officer
The victim showed the clip to the superintendent of police (city) Ranvijay Singh and pleaded for strictest of punishment for the accused. In the complaint she submitted, the victim wrote, "I am fed up of their misdeeds and cannot tolerate it anymore". Initially, Singh thought the victim was lying owing to some property dispute but was convinced after seeing the proof.
Brothers confessed to crime after interrogation: Police
On Singh's direction, the Civil Lines Police registered a sexual harassment case and arrested the duo. "FIR registered; both the accused brothers have been arrested on the basis of evidence. After interrogation, the accused have confessed to the crime," the police said.
