UMANG app: Services offered, and how to register
UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) is a mobile app launched by the government to let users access a wide range of government services, right from their smartphones. Services offered include Provident Fund (PF) services, Aadhaar-related services, online tax payments, and pension-related services. The app is available for download on Android, Apple, and Windows store. Here's all you need to know about it.
Services: Aadhaar services, online bill payments, and student services
Aadhaar: The UMANG app allows users to access and download their Aadhaar card from the DigiLocker account. Online bill payments: Users can also pay bills for gas, electricity, water, DTH, and telecom. One can avail LPG-related services like online booking of cylinders, distributor payments, and checking refill history. Student services: Students can view exam results and locate exam centers of all CBSE exams.
Services: PF and PAN-related services
PF services: Using the UMANG app, users can also check their Provident Fund (PF) balance. Further, they can raise claims, check claim status, search establishment, and apply for Jeevan Pramaan certificate. PAN services: The app also allows users to access PAN-related services like updating details, locating PAN centers, making PAN card payments, making tax payments, among others.
Here's how you can register on the UMANG app
First off, download the UMANG app on your smartphone. Then, open the app and choose your language. Next, click on 'New user.' Once the registration screen pops up, enter your mobile number, and click on 'Next' button. Enter OTP and proceed to set your account MPIN. You may also add a security answer, an Email ID, and an alternate mobile number.
