Twitter probes Haryana Minister Anil Vij's Disha Ravi tweet
Twitter on Monday took notice of a tweet posted by Haryana Minister Anil Vij against arrested activist Disha Ravi. Vij shared screenshots of alerts he had received from Twitter flagging the tweet after it was reported by "people from Germany." After completing an investigation, the microblogging site found that the tweet does not warrant the removal of content as per its rules.
Here's what Twitter wrote to Vij
Vij shared a screenshot of an email he received from Twitter saying, "Twitter is required by the German law to provide notice to users who are reported by people from Germany via the Network Enforcement Act reporting flow." In another email from Twitter shared by Vij, the microblogging site said that the reported content was not "subject to removal."
'Investigated reported content; it's not subject to removal'
"We have investigated the reported content and have found that it is not subject to removal under the Twitter rules or German law. Accordingly, we have not taken any action as a result of this specific report," Twitter said.

What did Vij's tweet say?
In a controversial tweet on Monday morning, Vij had written in Hindi, "Those with seeds of anti-nationalism in their minds should be destroyed completely, be it Disha Ravi or someone else." Ravi, a 22-year-old climate activist, was picked up from her home in Bengaluru on Saturday evening in connection with the "toolkit" document regarding the farmers' protest shared by Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg.

Police investigating conspiracy behind Republic Day farmers' protest
The Delhi Police is investigating an international conspiracy in the farmers' protest on Republic Day (January 26), which had descended into chaos. According to the police, the "toolkit" shared by Thunberg on February 4 indicated a "copycat execution of a conspiracy" behind the Republic Day violence. Ravi, who is in police custody, said she had only edited two lines on the document.
