    What's the story

    The UPSC Civil Services exam is divided into three stages- Prelims, Mains, and the Interview round.

    Talking about the final round, ie. Personal Interview- it can make or break your result.

    The candidate must be knowledgeable, spontaneous and creative with his answers so to impress the judging panel.

    Here, we list some of the trickiest questions ever asked in the UPSC interview round.

    Q: If it took eight men ten hours to build a wall, how long would it take four men to build it?

    A: No time at all, as it is already built.

    Q:If you had three apples and four oranges in one hand and four apples and three oranges in the other hand, what would you have?

    A: Very large hands.

    Q: What can you never eat for breakfast?

    A: Lunch and dinner.

    Q: If you throw a red stone into the blue sea, what will it become?

    A: It will become wet.

    Q: What happened when the wheel was invented?

    Candidate answer: It caused a revolution.

    Q: Which state is the Bay of Bengal in?

    A: In liquid state.

    Q: What if one morning you woke up and found that you were pregnant?

    Girl Candidate: I will be very excited and take an off, to celebrate the good news with my husband.

    Case: The interviewer ordered a cup of coffee for the candidate. Coffee arrived; was kept before the candidate, then he asked what is before you (U)?

    A: 'T' is before U.

    Q: A killer is sentenced to death and shown three rooms. The first room is on fire, the second one has assassins with loaded guns and the third one has a tiger who hasn't eaten since three years. Which room should he choose?

    A: The third room, because a tiger who hasn't eaten since three years must be dead by now.
