Train from Bengaluru to Jamshedpur catches fire in Andhra Pradesh
What's the story
The Yesvantpur-Tatanagar Superfast Express, bound for Jamshedpur, caught fire on Tuesday around 2 AM in Andhra Pradesh's East Godavari district, reports NDTV.
The pantry car of the train was completely gutted in the fire. The staff removed the pantry car from the locomotive to prevent the blaze from spreading.
No casualties have been reported so far, but trains in Andhra were delayed.
What happened
When staff couldn't douse fire, they removed pantry car
Reportedly, after the bogie caught fire, staff members initially attempted to douse it. But when they failed to do so, they removed the coach from the train.
Police officers reached the spot to identify the reason for the fire.
Notably, trains scheduled to run between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam were delayed due to the accident.
