Father, daughter die as parcel explodes at Gujarat home
A father and his daughter were killed after an electronic item delivered by an unidentified person exploded in their home in Gujarat's Vadali on Wednesday. The victims have been identified as Jitendra Heerabhai Vanjara and his daughter, Bhumika Vanjara. The deadly parcel, which was ordered online, also caused injuries to two other family members, young girls aged nine and 10.

The incident took place in Veda village, according to sub-inspector Jitendra Rabari of Vadali Police Station. "The parcel was delivered by an unidentified man. As soon as the electronic item was plugged in, there was a blast," he said. One of the injured girls was placed on a ventilator due to her critical condition. A relative of the victims said the package was delivered to them in an autorickshaw.
Injured survivors rushed to hospital, police investigation initiated
Following the explosion, the two injured girls were immediately taken to Himmantnagar Civil Hospital for treatment. During their medical examination, doctors discovered wires embedded with iron fragments in their bodies. This alarming discovery prompted an immediate police response. Officers were dispatched to the Vanjara residence to begin an investigation into the origin and cause of the deadly parcel explosion.
