Five laborers die due to suffocation while cleaning water tank

Five contract workers suffocated to death while cleaning a water tank at an under-construction building in Mumbai's Nagpada area in a tragic incident.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the workers were rushed by the fire brigade to JJ Hospital but were unfortunately declared brought dead.
The mishap happened around 12:30pm at the Bismillah Space building on Dimtimkar Road.

Workers fainted while cleaning the tank
A fire official said the five workers had entered a water tank for cleaning when they lost consciousness inside.
Other people at the construction site alerted the fire brigade, who rescued the five men and rushed them to JJ Hospital. However, they were all declared brought dead.
BMC and local police officials have reached the scene of the tragedy and a probe is underway.
