    What's the story

A 32-year-old man in Karnataka allegedly beheaded a 16-year-old girl he was supposed to marry after the Commission for Protection of Child Rights stopped the engagement ceremony due to the girl being a minor.

Both families had agreed to end the engagement and cancel the event after the commission was alerted about the illegal ceremony.

However, the man, Prakash, forcefully entered the girl's house and assaulted her parents and dragged the girl out of her home.
