5 pilgrims killed, 17 injured as bus falls into gorge
What's the story
A private bus ferrying 48 pilgrims from Maharashtra's Trimbakeshwar to Gujarat's Dwarka met with a tragic accident in Gujarat's Dang district.
The bus was on its way to Dwarka when the driver lost control of the vehicle around 4:15am near the Saputara hill station.
The bus crashed through a crash barrier and fell about 35 feet into a gorge, killing five and seriously injuring 17 others.

Victims rushed to hospital, rescue operation underway
The deceased comprised two women and three men who died on the spot.
In-charge Superintendent of Police SG Patil confirmed the casualties saying "Five pilgrims died and 17 others suffered serious injuries and have been rushed to a civil hospital at Ahwa."
The injured passengers were immediately rushed to a civil hospital for treatment.

Pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh involved in accident
The pilgrims who were involved in the accident belonged to the Guna, Shivpuri, and Ashok Nagar districts of Madhya Pradesh. They were heading to Dwarka when the unfortunate incident took place.
Some other passengers suffered minor injuries in the accident.
The rescue operation is said to be almost complete with all passengers accounted for at the moment.
