Delhi: Portion of Karol Bagh house collapses, residents feared trapped
A portion of a two-story residential building in Karol Bagh, New Delhi, collapsed on Wednesday morning. The incident was reported to the Delhi Fire Services at 9:11am. In response to the emergency call, five fire engines were immediately dispatched to the scene. There are unconfirmed reports that some residents may be trapped under the rubble.
Recent string of building collapses in Delhi
This incident follows a similar one that occurred on September 13, when a wall of a dargah in central Delhi's Nabi Karim area collapsed. The collapse resulted in one fatality and two injuries. The victims were trapped under the debris near Billa Dargah, a locality in Delhi. Rescue operations managed to extract at least two of the three people trapped under the rubble.
