What's the story

A pigeon released by a senior police officer at an Independence Day event in Mungeli, Chhattisgarh, fell to the ground instead of soaring into the sky. The incident, which has drawn parallels with a scene from the web series Panchayat, was due to the bird's ill health. Despite the initial fall, it has been reported that the bird is alive. Now, Superintendent of Police Girija Shankar Jaiswal has called for disciplinary action against those responsible for this mishap.
