Feasibility study in Tamil Nadu on heli-tourism submitted: Tourism Minister
Soon, Pawan Hans services could be available for tourists in Tamil Nadu as a feasibility report on heli-tourism has been submitted to the Tamil Nadu government, Minister of Tourism K J Alphons informed the Lok Sabha today. Alphons said that the Pawan Hans Limited, an aviation entity under the Centre, had carried out a feasibility study in association with the Tamil Nadu government.
Heli-tourism is famous in other states like Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim
"The study was done for the introduction of helicopter services to provide heli-tourism in Tamil Nadu state including Madurai and the preliminary report in this regard has been submitted to the state government," the minister said. Such heli-tourism services are already available in other states like Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Daman and Diu, Lakhswadeep, Andaman and Nicobar and Guwahati.
