JEE Main was conducted twice in 2019: January and April. The top 2.24 lakh rankers of the JEE Main 2019 (January and April combined) will be eligible for JEE Advanced. Here are some tips to prepare for the JEE Advanced.
Have a solid study plan, utilize time properly
JEE Advanced 2019 is scheduled for 27 May. With less than a month left, aspirants must now be focus on preparation and create a solid study plan for revising each subject. Aspirants must start preparing early and utilize their time properly to ensure they have sufficient time to cover all subjects. They should also have all the required material and books for the preparation.
Candidates must revise as much as they can
Revision is an effective way of learning and aspirants must revise as much as they can. They must concentrate more on important topics/concepts as per the weightage. JEE Advanced Syllabus is vast and students might not have time to study all topics in detail. Revision keys or self-prepared notes are useful for quick revision; they should only go through important points.
Focus on strengths, do not study anything new
At this stage of preparation, it is best for the candidates to focus on their strengths instead of worrying about their weak areas. Many candidates make the mistake of learning new topics, reading new topics, or referring to new books before the JEE Advanced. However, this should be avoided as it might lead to confusion and increase the stress and burden on students.
#4: Revise all important formulae before the exam
Aspirants must also go through and revise formulae, theorems, and reactions. If they have time, they can take quizzes/short mock tests to familiarize with the exam pattern. They should analyze their performance and try not to repeat any mistakes in the exam.
