#CBSE2019: Things to do one day before Class-10 board exams
The 2018-19 CBSE Board Exams for Class 10 have begun on 21 February and will go on until 29 March. While board exams for vocational subjects will be conducted first, core subject exams will begin on 7 March for Class 10 students. Many students tend to get stressed out before their board exams. Here are some things to do a day before board exams.
Follow a timetable to save and utilize time properly
A day before any exam, students must first create a schedule for revising each topic to score well. They should start preparing early in the morning so that they have sufficient time. They must also ensure they have all the required study material. Students should prepare a fresh study plan before every exam considering the marking scheme, weightage distribution, difficulty level, and questioning trends.
Revise all topics, focus more on important chapters
In the last few days before board exams, students should spend most of their time covering the entire syllabus. However, one day before any exam, it's better if students revise from self-prepared notes and revision keys and focus more on important topics. To test how effective their preparation is, students can solve one previous paper or sample/guess paper or take chapter/subject wise short quizzes.
#3: Pack all necessary things the night before
A day before any exam, students must ensure that they have all the required things for the next day. They must pack all necessary items, including their admit card, School Student ID, permitted stationery, etc. the night before to avoid last-minute trouble.
Don't learn anything new at last-minute; focus on your strengths
At the last minute, students must revise what they already know and avoid studying new concepts or learn from new books unless it's really important. This might ruin their preparation, lead to confusion, and increase stress. Also, NCERT textbooks are enough for board exam preparation as questions are based on them. However, if they have revised NCERT books thoroughly, they can consult other books.
#5: Eat healthy, sleep early, get enough rest
A day before the exam, students must avoid studying continuously for long and take breaks in between. They must eat healthy/light food and get sufficient sleep. They should go to bed early to wake up early on the exam day and do a quick revision.
