Rajasthan: Dust-storm leaves destruction trail, kills 22, injures 100

A sudden change in weather on Wednesday wreaked havoc in different parts of Rajasthan, killing 22 and injuring more than 100.
A high-speed dust storm uprooted trees and electricity poles in Bharatpur, Alwar and Dholpur districts.
In Alwar, over 100 trees were uprooted and many of them fell on stationary vehicles. The electricity department switched off power distribution to prevent more damage.

Dust-storm wreaks havoc, falling trees kill people
In the Old Sabzi Mundi area, Alwar, a tree fell on a man sitting in a car, taking his life.
A 13-year-old girl was killed by a flying tin shed. Schools were shut on Thursday.
In Bharatpur, nine people, including a woman and her daughter, were killed due to the heavy rains and thunderstorm.

State Disaster Relief Force rushed to affected spots
The State Disaster Relief Force was sent to affected areas and other localities were alerted.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in a tweet said she has asked concerned authorities to help affected families in every way possible. "My condolences to the families of those who have lost their lives," she said.
In Delhi, 15 flights (including two international flights) were diverted due to bad weather.
