This man developed 'Iron Man' suit to help Indian Army
If you love Iron Man, you will surely appreciate the efforts of this Varanasi-based man who has designed an Iron Man suit of his own. Shyam Chaurasia, who works at the Ashoka Institute of Technology and Management, has designed a fully equipped Iron Man-style prototype and hopes it would one day help Indian Army soldiers on the battlefield. Suit to help soldiers fight enemies
As battlefield encounters can be challenging, Chaurasia employed all available resources to build a safety suit for Indian soldiers. He brought the prototype to life using a combination of tin as well as typical gear like motors and gun barrels. He even established a mobile connection with the suit for controlling it remotely, and installed sensors to help jawans detect attacks from the back.
Chaurasia hopes to build on this project
With this suit, Chaurasia hopes to draw the attention of government agencies and secure funding to build this project into a working, battlefield-ready model. "It is a metal suit designed to help the Indian Army soldiers during their encounters with terrorists and enemies," he said. "Currently, it is just a prototype, but it can help the soldiers immensely during the times of the battle."
It will deter nation's enemies
Chaurasia emphasized that the suit, once ready, will act as a way to deter enemies of the nation and reduce the risk of loss of life on the battlefield. "I would urge government agencies like DRDO to take note of this suit and to build upon it to help the soldiers as other countries like Pakistan among others too are working on such models."
This is not the first Iron Man suit
While Chaurasia's efforts look promising, it's worth noting that this is not the first attempt to bring an Iron Man-style suit into the real world. The model that came closest to the comic version was the exoskeleton developed by former MythBusters co-host Adam Savage. It works and flies with the help of five 1,000-horsepower mini jet engines strapped with the suit.
