This Eid, eat sewai named after Yogi Adityanath, PM Modi
A restaurant in Lucknow has organized two day 'sewai festival' to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr, the festival that is celebrated after the holy month of Ramzan. It's not the festival that has caught the attention but the dishes which have been named after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. As per a DNA report, the two dishes are a hit.
Interestingly, Adityanath's 'sewai' is costlier than Modi's
The restaurant is offering 50 varieties of sewai but 'Yogi Ji Maharaj Special Saffron Sewai' and 'Modi Modern India Sewai', have become everyone's favorite. The one named after Yogi Adityanath costs Rs. 1,200 per kg and Rs. 100 for a cup. It is loaded with special Kashmiri saffron. 'Modi Modern India Sewai' is rabri-flavored. One kg costs Rs. 800 and a cup Rs. 60.
The two best dishes were named after Yogi and Modi
Apart from these dishes, the restaurant is also offering Qimami Sewai, Zarda Seai, Sewai Kheer, Mango Sewai, Sewai Kheer and Banarsi Paan-flavored Sewai. The dishes are topped with silver foil. The restaurant owner Shameel Shamsi said they experimented with flavors. "We developed a few which were hitherto unknown to Lucknowites. We named two best among them after Modi ji and Yogi Ji," he said.
