Meet this 12-year-old coder and shepreneur from Hyderabad
There are several who wish to become software developers, and most of them achieve it after years of formal education. However, Zunaira Khan from Hyderabad has not only trained herself to become a software developer, but she is also an entrepreneur. She is just 12. This Class VII student has already developed business applications for several companies. Here is her story.
Zunaira was attracted towards IT sector because of her mother
As they say, inspiration starts at home. Fascinated by her mother, Nishat Khan who is an IT trainer, the then 7-year-old Zunaira started attending her mother's lectures meant for B.Tech students. "As a parent, it was my prime duty to encourage her," Nishat says.
Zunaira's company has completed almost 500 projects
Today, after almost 5 years, Zunaira is running a company, ZM Infocom, which has completed 500 projects, and is going to launch a product for Team management soon. "This will help an organization to deal with crisis like lack of team identity, participation, and slow information flow," Nishat said. "I'm really proud of her as to how she's progressing in her career," she said.
The young techie works on web and mobile applications
Notably, Zunaira works on web and mobile applications. "For web applications, I work on HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL database and Javascript. Within client projects, I have done mobile applications and business applications, she said. She further added, "Right now, I am working for an NGO. I have created a website, and I manage their website." She has also trained students elder to her.
She has taught 4-5 B.Tech batches till now
Interestingly, Zunaira has taught 4-5 batches of B.Tech students so far. While sharing how her training classes were, Mohammed Arbaz Alam, a student, said, "It was truly enriching being trained under her. I'm sure what I learned with her is going to help me in developing my career." As an acknowledgment, Zunaira's school, DPS, has given her the title of 'Digital Ambassador'.
