Ryan victim's sister has free education offers, but family unwilling
The father of seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur, who was allegedly assaulted and murdered in the premises of Gurugram's Ryan International, has been inundated with offers of free education for his 11-year-old daughter. The Class V student is currently studying in the same school where her brother was killed. The family wants to shift her elsewhere, but has rejected all such "free" offers.
'Don't want her to undergo trauma everyday, will change school'
Pradyuman's sister wasn't told about his death till she returned home after the exam on the fateful day. "My daughter is very upset. (Pradyuman and her) used to go together to school and also met during recess. I don't want her to be under trauma each day," their father Varun said. The decision on where to send her would be taken considering her security.
Victim's family suspects a larger conspiracy at play
Pradyuman's relatives suspect there's an ongoing conspiracy at Ryan. According to relatives, other people apart from the arrested bus conductor are also involved in the murder. They feel his girl could be targeted next. "Till the mystery unfolds we won't send her to school."
In the meantime, what's happening at Ryan?
Meanwhile, acting principal of Ryan International at Gurugram, Neerja Batra, has been suspended. Ryan's regional head Francis Thomas and HR head Jayesh Thomas have been arrested and are being questioned. CEO Ryan Pinto and his parents Grace and Augustine (founders) have applied for transit anticipatory bail. Cops say school authorities tried to cover up the Pradyuman's murder. The ongoing probe will reveal more details.
