Thane horror: Missing four-year-old girl found dead with no hands
In a horrific incident, the body of a four-year-old girl, who was reported missing, was found dead in some bushes in Bhiwandi area of Thane with her hands missing. A resident of Gautam Nagar, the girl went missing from near her house on Tuesday evening. A case under IPC sections 302 (murder) and 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence) has been registered.
Girl, her brother had gone to play when she disappeared
The girl and her brother had gone to play with other children at a ground near their house. While her brother returned home, she continued playing with other kids. Senior Inspector VD Bhise of Bhoiwada under the Bhiwandi police division said, "When the girl didn't return home till late evening, her parents went looking for her. On not finding her, they approached the police."
Girl's body was found 300 meters away from her house
On Wednesday evening, the girl's body was found just 300 meters away from her residence with her hands missing. She also had a wound on the back of her neck, police said, adding that the body has been sent for post-mortem examination. A probe is underway to ascertain the motive of the murder, Senior Inspector Bhise said.
