Humanity weeps: Raped by teen, seven-month-old-girl found shrieking in field
In a horrifying incident, a 19-year-old teen raped a seven-month-old girl in Alwar, Rajasthan on Wednesday, and dumped her in a football field nearby. The girl was found bleeding, crying in the playground in critical condition. The police have arrested the accused (a neighbor) and booked him under IPC sections 363 (kidnapping), 366 A (Procuration of minor girl), 376 (rape) and POCSO act.
In mother's absence, accused takes child to rape her
Prahlad Sahay, SHO of Laxmangarh police station, said the accused Pintu picked up the infant from her house when her mother was away. When the father, who works as a laborer, returned home he was informed Pintu took her with him. After the heinous crime, Pintu dumped her. The child was admitted to a gynecology ward and is reported to be out of danger.
Accused hid inside neighbor's home, was later nabbed
The girl's father said Pintu hid inside a neighbor, Suresh Chandra Joshi's house. "However, when we informed the police that he is hiding at Suresh's place, Suresh made him run away," he said. Alwar SP Rahul Prakash directed police officials to be swift in their action, considering the monstrosity of the crime. Pintu was apprehended with the help of locals.
State Commission for Protection of Child Rights promises strict-punishment
"This is a shameful act. We are prepared to take the strictest action in the matter to ensure that the child gets justice and no one dares to commit such a heinous act in future," said Manan Chaturvedi, chairperson, Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
