Bomb threats extend beyond Tamil Nadu
Earlier this week, a bomb threat letter was also received by the station superintendent at Hanumangarh in Rajasthan. North Western Railway CPRO Captain Shashi Kiran confirmed the incident. In response to this threat, police conducted an extensive inspection of the railway station but found no suspicious materials. The Railway Police Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) have since increased their security checks around the station.
Bengaluru hotel and Vistara flight receive bomb threats
In a separate incident last month, the Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru received a bomb threat via email from unknown individuals. This prompted local police and a bomb squad to investigate the situation on-site. Additionally, a Vistara flight bound for Frankfurt was diverted to Turkey due to a security concern. All 247 passengers were reported safe as local authorities initiated a search operation upon landing at Erzurum Airport in Turkey.
