Man arrested with grenades; had planned to target Ram Mandir
What's the story
A terror suspect, identified as Abdul Rehman, has been arrested from Faridabad in a joint operation by the Haryana and Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squads (ATS).
The arrest was made amid heightened security in light of ongoing civic body elections.
According to reports, two hand grenades were recovered from Rehman's possession and were later neutralized by the Bomb Disposal Unit.
According to Times Now sources, Rehman was allegedly surveying religious sites, including the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

India TV, citing sources, also said that Ram Mandir was on his target list.
Further investigations revealed a link between Rehman and another person earlier apprehended by the Gujarat ATS.
Officials believe that Rehman was operating under instructions from handlers based abroad, indicating a potential international terror network.
The Gujarat ATS had taken him to Gujarat for further questioning.
