Surat: Couple throws four-year-old son off building before jumping down
A married couple allegedly threw down their four-year-old son and then jumped off the 12th floor of the Majestica building in Surat's Sarthana area, police said. Vijaybhai Vaghasia (32), his wife Rekha (30), and son Veer (4) died in the incident. They lived on the second floor of the building; after throwing the child from the 12th-floor terrace, they jumped down themselves. Here's more.
Couple was facing a financial crisis: Cops
Vaghasia's cloth shop recently shut down; he and his wife may have taken the extreme step due to a financial crisis. However, no suicide note was found. "Primary investigation has revealed that Vijaybhai was facing a financial crisis," said an officer from Sarthana police station.
