Aurangabad: BSc student jumps off college building; principal booked
A 19-year-old student, who allegedly jumped-off the fourth-floor of his college in Aurangabad yesterday apparently after he was found copying during BSc (Nutrition Biochemistry) examination, succumbed to his injuries today. Police booked Principal of MIT Nursing College, who asked student Sachin Wagh to call his parents, and a teacher for allegedly abetting suicide. A case was registered under IPC's section 306 (abetment of suicide).
Wagh jumped off the building fearing parents might reprimand him
A police official said Wagh allegedly jumped off the fourth floor of the college fearing that his parents might reprimand him. DCP Rahul Shrirame said Wagh was rushed to the ICU of a private hospital with multiple fractures but succumbed to injuries during treatment. On the complaint of Wagh's father, police registered an FIR against college principal Helen Rani and teacher Rachna More.
