Sridevi's body handed over to family after long delay
Almost a day later than initially planned, Dubai police have released Sridevi's body to her family. The actor's kin as well as officials of the Indian Consulate were at the morgue to collect the body. It will be flown back to India later today. Sridevi's body was withheld as there were "questions that (investigators) had after seeing the post-mortem report."

On Sunday, the world woke up to Sridevi's death
News of the actor's death broke in the intervening night of February 24-25. According to initial reports, Kapoor found her "lying motionless" in the bathtub of her hotel room at the Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Sridevi, Kapoor and daughter Khushi were in Dubai to attend the wedding of nephew Mohit Marwah. Elder daughter Jahnvi had skipped the function to shoot for her debut in Mumbai.
Investigators speak to Boney Kapoor, Mohit Marwah, hotel staff
Contrary to initial reports of cardiac arrest, forensics concluded that her death was a result of 'accidental drowning' "following loss of consciousness." After that, investigators questioned hotel staff and some others. Boney Kapoor, who reportedly found her first, and Mohit Marwah also spoke to police. In Dubai, any death outside a hospital has to be thoroughly probed by law.
Arjun Kapoor, Sridevi's stepson, flies to Dubai
Amid the confusion, Arjun Kapoor flew to Dubai to be with his father. Arjun, Boney Kapoor's son from his previous marriage to Mona Shourie Kapoor, didn't share warm ties with his stepmother. After her death, he visited uncle Anil Kapoor's house to pay respect.
