Sridevi died due to accidental drowning, not cardiac arrest: Forensics
Contrary to media reports, the forensic examination of Sridevi has revealed accidental drowning as the cause of her death. Her autopsy report was to be released yesterday, but it was delayed, thus pushing back her planned funeral in Mumbai this morning. Sridevi was found unconscious in her hotel room bathtub in Dubai on Saturday evening. The family was attending a relative's wedding.

The legendary actor passed away on the night of February 24. The cause of her death was reported to be a massive cardiac arrest. She was 54. Sridevi, along with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi, was in Dubai to attend the wedding of nephew Mohit Marwah. Condolences poured in on social media. Sridevi was preparing for dinner with husband when she died
Sridevi died while getting ready for dinner. Boney had left Dubai three days ago, but returned on Saturday to surprise her. He woke her up in her hotel room at around 5:30pm. They chatted for 15 minutes before she went for a bath. When she didn't emerge for sometime, he knocked, then broke down the door to find her lying motionless in the water.
Sridevi had no history of heart disease, family had claimed
The sudden death came as a shock not just to her millions of fans, but also to her family. Amid media reports of a cardiac arrest, her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor revealed that Sridevi had never suffered any sort of heart disease before.
