Delhi: Advocate, her brother stab delivery-man 20-times for being late
In a horrific crime, a woman and her brother in Delhi's Nihal Vihar stabbed a delivery man more than 20 times for being late. They also stole Rs. 40,000 from him because they wanted to 'teach him a lesson.' The victim's statement and CCTV footage around their residence led police to the siblings. They have now confessed while the victim is battling for life.
Victim got late as he couldn't locate their house
On March 21, 28-year-old Keshav, an Ambica Enclave resident, was going to deliver a phone from Flipkart to Kamal Deep, a 30-year-old advocate, in Vikas Vihar. He got delayed as he couldn't locate their house, he said, but she kept calling and shouting. When he reached, she started screaming again and an argument broke out. She then got a kitchen knife and attacked him.
She asked her brother to 'stay out or help her'
Her brother, who was at home, heard the commotion and tried to intervene, but she asked him to either stay out or join her. Together, they stabbed him all over, slit his wrists and tried to strangle him with a shoelace. Afterwards, they robbed the money he had got from customers, took a van and dumped him near a drain in Chander Vihar.
Duo arrested, booked for attempted murder, voluntarily causing hurt
Police received a call at 9pm the same day about an injured man. Keshav was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital. He recorded his statement three days later, after which police arrested the duo. They initially lied when questioned, but CCTV footage helped nab them. Police have recovered incriminating items from their home. They have been booked for attempt to murder, among others.
